PVC Edge Banding is a thin strip of flexible PVC material used to seal and decorate the raw, cut edges of engineered wood panels such as plywood, MDF, particle board, and blockboard. It is applied using edge banding machines or manual hot melt adhesive.
Edge banding serves two critical purposes:
Protection – seals the edge against moisture, impact, and wear
Decoration – matches or complements the panel surface for a finished, professional look
PVC edge banding is the most popular edge finishing solution worldwide due to its durability, flexibility, color matching capability, and cost-effectiveness.
How to use ?
The installation of PVC edge banding is usually done by sticking it with hot melt glue or special glue to ensure that the edge banding fits tightly to the edge of the board, and using tools such as rollers to compact it.
How to choose the thickness?
The thickness of the PVC edge banding should be determined according to the thickness of the furniture board, usage scenario, and durability requirements. For reference: Economical furniture: 0.4-1.0mm, conventional cabinets and wardrobes: 1.0-2.0mm, high-end furniture, countertops, and door panels: 2.0-3.0mm

What's the MOQ?
Our standard MOQ is 1 x 20' container (approximately 22-24 m³). For smaller trial orders, we also accept LCL (less than container load) shipments. Please contact us to discuss your specific needs.
What payment terms do you accept?
We accept T/T (30% deposit + 70% before shipment), L/C at sight. We also offer flexible payment options for large-volume contracts for long term business.
Do you offer free samples?
Yes, we offer samples free of charge. Full-board samples are available at a nominal cost, which is fully refundable upon your first bulk order. Shipping costs for samples are at the customer's expense.
Can you customize panel size, thickness, color or glue grade?
Absolutely. We offer full customization services: thickness from 3mm to 30mm, custom sizes and formats, glue grades (E0, E1, WBP, MDI), and special surface finishing (sanded, film-faced, melamine, veneer, UV coated). We also have abundant color catalogs for your reference.
How long is your lead time?
For standard orders, lead time is typically 15-20 days after deposit confirmation. For custom orders (special thickness, size, or glue grade), lead time may extend to 25-30 days, depending on production schedule.
Can the company name and trademark to be printed on the plywood products or package?
Absolutely. We can customize the printing of your company name and logo either directly on the plywood panels (e.g., film-faced plywood) or on the outer packaging, as per your preference.
